Their is a species of wild cats known as the Peter Pan of felines: they are “Sand Cats” and have the nickname as they retain a kitten-like appearance their whole lives, giving the impression that they never grow up. They look like kittens and their kittens look like kittens.
This post is not mean’t to encourage the trafficking of these wonderful little wild cats, or their exploitation in any way, it is simply to show my audience these delightful little animals.
Unlike their domestic cat cousins, these adorable little cats are very well adapted to living in a harsh environment. They can survive in temperatures between −5 °C (23 °F) to 52 °C (126 °F) and are able to survive for months on the water they ingest from their food.

Unfortunately, a recent study indicated that only 61% of sand cats born in captivity live to day 30, primarily due to maternal neglect; they are also prone to various respiratory illnesses which makes them unsuitable as pets.
